About Dylan Watson
Originally from Port Fairy in Victoria, Dylan moved North to continue studies in TCM & Acupuncture at the Australian College of Natural Medicine here in Brisbane. After intesively completing his Advaned Diploma of Acupuncture in 2007, he moved into Full time work while finishing his Degree in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs & Chinese Remedial Massage at ACNM in 2008. During this time Dylan also furthered his knowledge through completing Post Graduate courses in the following areas:
Certificate in Japanese Acupuncture – Manaka Protocols
Certificate in Japanese Acupuncture and Fertility
Certificate in Constitutional Acupuncture Facial Renewal
Dylan has a specific interest & understanding in Sports & Musculoskeletal injuries, stemming from his history in variable sports. He also has an interest in Fertility issues and Womens Health, which responds very well with the style of Acupuncture Dylan uses
Personally, Dylan has a long history in sports such as AFL, Golf, Basketball, Weight Training, as well as Stress & Anxiety - thereby having the innate ability to advise on different treatment strategies, modalities &/or exercises that may need to be incorporated into the treatment, for maximal recovery to health in minimal time
In the last 2 years, Dylan has teamed up with Brisbane based Osteopaths to enhance his knowledge of the musculo-skeletal system of the Human body. This awareness of variable Osteopathic techniques gives Dylan the extra edge in treating muscular aches & pains such as Back Pain, Neck & Shoulder Pain, Sciatica, Sporting Injuries etc with Acupuncture. Dylan also attends various Acupuncture workshops to continuously update his knowledge on treatment techniques.
Dylan also does a mixed style of Massage, which is a combination of Chinese Remedial Massage (Tui Na) and Resistance Stretching (Sotai). If deemed necessary, this is often combined with Acupuncture within the one treatment.
Along side specialized treatment, tailor made for each patient, Dylan also combines his medical knowledge of the body with years of his own fitness training experience to suggest appropriate Fitness & Dietary plans which are designed to enhance the rate of recovery - and yes this does apply for those of you coming for Weight Loss!
