Why see an Acupuncturist...

Acupuncture as a treatment option for ailments is gaining momentum in the health industry, and for good reason. With at least 2000 years of documented evidence of it’s effectiveness in treating a wide variety of disorders, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine is great for those people who are looking for something different, something less intense than manipulative therapy or looking for answers not gained elsewhere. Alternatively, Acupuncture is great as a preventative measure for diseases patients may be prone to, such as family history of Cardiac disease etc. Listed in ‘What Acupuncture can do for you’ is only a portion of what Acupuncture can successfully treat.

Japanese Acupuncture is especially great for those with a phobia of Needles, as there are other treatment options based on the same treatment principles that don’t involve the use of needles. These strategies involve the burning of tiny 'Rice Grain' sized pieces of 'Moxa' directly on points. This technique is pain free and is extremely beneficial for those patients who are severely Fatigued and Run Down.

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine has proven to be the answer for a lot of conditions that haven’t responded to other treatment methods. There are many instances where no structural problems show up on X-rays or Scans, but there is still pain – these are the instances that Acupuncture usually works at it’s best.

Results from the treatment can be noticed immediately, but generally because the aim is to aid the body in healing itself, noticeable lasting results can take 4-5 treatments in simple cases. Even if the complaint is not resolved in the first few consultations, we expect you will be relieved with the advice, knowledge and confidence in us to resolve your problem completely and expertly over time.

Continual research into the mechanisms on how acupuncture works, new treatment strategies and treatable diseases are constantly being published and implemented into how we treat patients here at Better Mind, Body, Spirit.
